We don’t like to think about it, but emergencies do happen. With a typical child, we fill
out an emergency contact form of someone who knows our child that can pick them
up in an emergency and that’s about as far as some of us go.
It requires a little more planning for a child with special needs.
This course will help you take you through a series of lessons to help you develop an emergency plan.
We’ll take a look at some common scenarios and work through what is needed in each.
- Middle of the night emergency (need someone to watch them)
- Picking up my child from school ( car trouble, emergency, etc)
- Tragic event, child needs to stay a few days with somebody….
- I’m going to do something dangerous to myself or my child (emergency respite)
